Master Class with Future Creatives
Vue Show Design Group completed a master class at The School for Creative and Performing Arts. Both Charles Ford and Bransen Black, who once walked these halls as students themselves studying lighting design and theater under the mentorship of Jeffrey New, returned to share their wisdom and experiences.
The SCPA students were treated to a master class on Production Technology led by Ford and Black. It was a rare opportunity to dive deep into the world of professional production, focusing on concerts and large events, getting hands-on experience with the cutting-edge tools that bring ourconcerts and events to life!
From Green Hippo Media Servers and D3 servers to GrandMA control systems and L8 visualizers, our students got a behind-the-scenes look at the tech that powers the magic of live events. But it wasn't just about the gadgets; Ford and Black shared their design process and approach to creating unforgettable experiences for concert tours and special events.
Vue Show Design Group, where Ford and Black contribute their expertise, champions diversity in production. They believe in the importance of showcasing a variety of production types, from concert tours to intimate events, and emphasize the need for diversity within the industry itself. Our students learned that no matter their background or skill set, there's a place for them in the dynamic world of entertainment production.
Vue wants to inspire the students by providing a glimpse into the possibilities that lie ahead in the entertainment industry. Vue hopes the passion, knowledge, and diversity they brought to SCPA have ignited a spark in the students, the future workforce of the entertainment world.
Here's to the next generation of creative minds, ready to light up the world with their talents! 🌍💫
